Hostess/Cashier

Position: Hostess

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Summary:

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at the restaurant. This role involves welcoming guests with a warm, friendly attitude, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience from the moment guests arrive until they are seated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
• Manage waitlists and reservations using a POS or reservation system
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests
• Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house and hostess stand
• Coordinate with servers and other front-of-house staff to ensure efficient seating
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints or refer them to the manager
• Monitor dining room flow and table turnover
• Assist in organizing seating plans for special events or large parties

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Friendly, professional demeanor and appearance
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred
• Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) is a plus
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.

Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
