ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a warm, engaged family seeking a nurturing and academically-minded individual to care for and educate our 6-year-old child in the afternoons and evenings. This is a rewarding dual role — part childcare, part enrichment — ideal for someone with a genuine passion for early years education and creative learning.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES – Education & Enrichment
- Plan and deliver engaging after-school learning activities aligned with the British National Curriculum (KS1) and EYFS principles
- Design hands-on activities across core subjects — arts & crafts, basic science experiments, maths games, literacy, and creative writing
- Support homework completion with patience and encouragement
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning through play-based and structured activities
- Track the child’s progress and communicate regularly with parents about development and interests
Childcare & Daily Routine
- Prepare healthy after-school snacks and supervise mealtimes
- Manage the child’s afternoon and evening routine including bath time, reading, and bedtime preparation
- Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional wellbeing
- Light tidying of child’s play and study areas
Hours: Monday–Saturday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (25 hours/week). Consistent schedule.
Driving license preferred
